    The broiler mechanism on the ebay stove looks just like the one on my B model, fwiw.

    the ebay stove is different than mine. this has the gear assembly for lifting the broiler, while mine is a pull-up lever.

    i guess i could replace the whole thing, but i'm not sure if that's worth it. i think i will bide my time for now...

    There's a stove being parted out right now on e-Bay - the parts are in a guy's e-Bay stove. If you check this listing, look at the picture at the bottom. It looks like it might have a broiler lift handle like you described. Perhaps he can answer your questions, and if you're missing a part, he will probably sell it to you. He says in his listings that if you need a part, to e-mail him. Keep us posted!
