Opps, I just remembered that the fitting on the thermostat end is a reverse or male. I think you will be needing a new ferrule and nut for that end of the tubing. When you get into your stove and verify my memory, let me know. I can send you the needed 5/32 ferrule and nut.

    Mr. Stoveman,

Thank you for the offer. I looked at my pilot light tubing and it appears to be the same on both ends. When I start to put it back together, after I install the safety valve, I shall let you know.

Any ideas on what size plug I need for the thermostat? 5/32?

    Mark,

I ordered the parts for the safety today. I was looking at your list of required parts and noticed that you used 3/8" aluminum tubing for the inlet/outlet gas source. The valve assembly says it is a 1/2".... Is this correct?

    Just curious.....

Look at Page 2, Table 2, Item: [3/8 Comp x 1/2 MPT], that is the fitting that connects the 1/2 threaded safety valve to the 3/8" compression fittings and 3/8" tubing. You can see a good photo of these fittings in place on page 9.

Remember the document is for amusement only. If you blow yourself up, it's your fault not mine.
