Winter is approaching and it looks like I'll be spending more time online and using this forum, so...here is a nice Quiche recipe and a photo:
Chesse and Broccoli Quiche
Three eggs beaten into one cup of milk with a hit of salt and a few good grinds of black pepper
Use any pie crust you like and fill with lightly blanced broccoli
Add about a cup and third of cheese to the milk and egg mixture. Regiano Parmagiano and Dutch Gouda, about equal portions is nice by us.
Pour the mixture over the broccoli
All of this should be in your 8" round pie dish and place upon the Thermobaker with rack in place.
Into a preheated Thermowell at about 425 degrees, cover and check after ten minutes or so for browning edges. When edges begin to brown, turn off gas and allow to cook on retained heat for 45 minutes or so. Or, just leave it sit in the T'well until ready to eat.

The pan is a BakeKIng, King of Bakeware, Made in USA, 1950's-60's guy, estate sale find. I sprayed the pan before putting the dough in and when it was baked, the little scraper guy whizzed right around the slices came right out leaving not a single crumb behind. I like these pans, they fit onto the Thermobaker perfectly.[IMG][IMG]

Thanks, Ha. IO'll have to look for them. I've seen lots that look pretty similar, but are different brands.

I forgot to ask - what size is the one that fits the t-baker. Diameter and depth?

Hi ChipperJenn, The dish is 8.5" diameter x 1.5" deep with nearly straight sides.

[mouth = "watering"] [drool="profuse"] Wow that looks really great. I'm going to see if I can sweet talk my wife into adding that recipe to her repertoire. I will need to cobble something together to replace our missing thermobaker rack though. We have the thermobaker but not the little rack that elevates the pie pan from the baker. [/mouth] [/drool] [wipe = "chin"]
