Well I picked it up and oit's a diamond in the rough. as I look at the burners they looked pitted and in need of refinishing. BUT it was just caked on dirt, kool. I do have 2 questions. The first is the date. I can't find a date on it, but did find the tag with the serial # (7- -4106) and model (14-B-4). If anyone can help me with age that would be greaT. The second question is; in place of the timer is a cast emblem. The emblem has an eagle with a heart on the stomach and it is standing on a heats The eagle is sourounded by an olive branch. There is a short pesastal on the bottomof the olive branch with 2 inverted heatrs on it. There are the #'s 295 on the back. I have no idea if this is original or if it even belongs to the stove. Any help would be appricated.
PS I will be buying the manual and cook book from Todd, as soon as figure out the model.

I think we have the same model, 14-B-4. I was lucky enough to inherit it from my friends mother-in-laws estate. She was the original owner. Her son said it was bought in 1939 brand spanking new and she used it up till the day she went into the nursing home. Mine has the timer where your emblem is and a spice rack on each side of the timer. Everything is in great condition except for the stove top, which is aged and oxydized from years of use. Is your stove top black too??? I think the B means black?? I've gotten priced quotes on re-porceliened the black top and some other things and the safety value kit.If you'd like I have some pics I can send you of mine and see if they are basically the same. PM me if you want me to send them.
Hope this helps

Pics would be great! As I looked at the stove it appears that the medalion was put there AFTER the timers stoped working. The housing and holes are there for the timer but alas no timer. My top (stove) is black, there are 2 spice racks on either side where the timer would be. The stove has som rust but nothing I can't deal with. I have not gotten prices on re-enamaling the top but there is also a little were by the fromt burner. The 2 quotes I got for the safety vale were $325, and $425. As soon as I get it back togeather, (should be a while) I send you some pics.

Re: Dating? (the year of the stove)

Thank you so much for this thread here. Well, I was not looking for dating actually but I needed some ideas about the best escort agencies in London. One of my friends told me that a London Chef ran escorts agency there but when I searched about that, I did not find anything. Do you guys have any idea about this?
