I will see what I can find for you for invitations...
as far as the dinner, I would make it cold plate
especially if you are having it at your moms...
it just makes everything easier for you and your
mom! Plus with the holidays, everyone will be
so tired of all the special dinners and so on...
so they would probably enjoy something simple
and things like mac salad and potato salad will
remind them of summer!
For Aryes baptism dinner, my brothers MIL went
overboard....she made up the menu and Tom and Meg
had to prepare all the food.......they spent
3 days doing all the cooking! Both of them
were so overwhelmed on Sunday...they didnt have
time to enjoy all the family and friends that
were there.....They had bbq sandwiches, 2 kinds
of cooked chicken breast, ham, mashed potatoes(that
no one really touched and had 2 huge bowls leftover!)
baked carrots, sweet potato pudding, but the things
that went over very well and got used up first
were the cold cut sandwiches, mac salad, potato
salad, the veggie and fruit tray! JoAnn was so
mad! She was literally bitching at everyone for
not eating up the hot foods! And she is a preacher??? *L*
So for your sake, I would keep it simple!
