SNOWBALL SHOOTING RANGE
Set up tin cans or plastic bottles on a fence or tree stump, away from any windows. From behind a firing line 3 - 5 yards back, hurl snowballs at targets.

SNUG SNOW HUT
Pack down a big mound of snow. Leave overnight to freeze. Using a big shovel, carve out a doorway and hollow hut out.

SIMPLE IGLOO OR FORT
Make snow bricks by packing moistened snow into bread pans or plastic bins. Stack bricks to make a miniature igloo or fort.

SNEAKY SNOWBALL FIGHT
Hide behind a snow fort or snow hut as described above, and have a friend do the same. Then, make a pile of soft snowballs and start firing!

ICE SCULPTURE MAGIC
Freeze water in an empty milk carton. Then, peel away cardboard and carefully chip away ice with a hammer and screw driver to create a unique sculpture.

MAKE YOUR OWN BACKYARD RINK!
Level off a 3 - 4" layer of firmly packed snow, leaving a ridge of snow around outer edge. On a day below freezing point, spray water on patch to form a crust. When that freezes, start adding water for ice. Every day, spray rink surface with more water to gradually increase to desired thickness. To add rink markings, paint food coloring onto ice.

CHEESE FONDUE
Stay inside and enjoy a Swiss favorite! In a fondue pot or saucepan, heat 1 1/4 C. apple juice to boiling point. Reduce to simmer. Add 2 C. shredded Cheddar cheese, 2 C. shredded Swiss, Gruyere, or Emmenthal cheese, 2 T. flour or cornstarch, and 1/4 t. garlic powder, all tossed together. Dip French bread cubes, bread sticks, apple wedges, and/or seedless grapes into mixture.

CHOCOLATE FONDUE
Top it off with dessert! In fondue pot or saucepan, heat 1 can Evaporated Milk (385 ml) and 2 1/2 C. milk chocolate chips on low, until melted and smooth. Dip maraschino cherries, pieces of doughnuts or cake, and various types of fruit into mixture.
