But aren't you heading into Winter now?
You know you're in an Australian Summer when:
1. The best parking space is determined by shade instead of distance.
2. Hot water comes out of both taps.
3. You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
4. The temperature drops below 35c and you feel a little chilly.
5. You discover that in January/February it only takes two fingers to steer your car.
6. You discover that you can get sunburnt through your car window.
7. You develop an extreme fear of metal car door handles.
8. You break a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30am.
9. Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, "What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?"
10. You realise that asphalt has a liquid state.
11. While walking back barefoot to your car from the beach, you do a tightrope act on the white lines in the car park.
12. You catch a cold from having the aircon/fan full blast while you sleep during the night.
13. You pray that your train will have air-conditioning, and if it doesn't, waiting an extra 15 minutes for one is worth it.
But aren't you heading into Winter now?

I love the heat but I love wintertime too..pity that I cant have both..*says I who's practically sitting on the heater*
mmm showers in winter..long hot and wet..and your so hot and pink skinned when you come out that you can walk to the bedroom nude and still not feel the cold..lol
What's the coldest it gets where your at?
Here in Tx, I believe the last time it snowed was in the 80's and that wasn't much at all... lol
Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
Here's all the info on my city..Because its on the coast we dont get snow but it does on most years snow way up on the mountains at the top of the valley.
Right now its 65F here at my computer and a bit cooler outside..
You know I still haven't figured out the whole Fahrenheit thing. I have to get me one of them thermowatchamacallits that displays both.
It's a nice 22 C here.
And gawd, that place is beautiful. I'll come and visit uninvited and unexpected. I'll bring some good S from A (NL)!
Wow!That's a beautiful city.. What's the structure at the end of the peninsula?
Looks like there could be some sharks there.LOL
lefty hon..thats what I keep a thermometre here in front of me with both C and F temperatures on it.
Wild that structure is the Light House and it sits on top of Nobby's Headland. Nobby's use to be an island off the coast about 200 years ago before the convicts built the breakwall to it. They're thinking of opening up the Light House and converting it into a restaurant because the buildings at its base arent being used for anything.
And as for sharks..yup we have them. Shoals of Hammerheads. Literally hundreds and hundreds of them swim pass on occassions. Bull Sharks which enter the harbour and swim up the creek systems. Normal everyday School Sharks that we've caught on Stockton Beach. There's more species but I couldnt be bothered typing them out..lol
