He's been having this issue since last year where he works slower than others. Not slower than anybody but he's a slow one, and he usually gives a little of his recess time to catch up then he don't have to bring it home, but he did this all last year and again this year well lately he's been more upset about not having recess trying so hard to stay caught up and he just can't. Like if they take a test if he's time its worse, but even just regular everyone else will be on #6 and he's on #4. But that little bit adds up all day and he gives recess to catch up. But on the other hand he's been on honor roll all last year and this year. Well he came home Monday crying because it was so nice out and he had to work for recess and he tries and can't stay caught up etc.. Well then he said "I'm just a big waste of space". A big ass red flag went off for me and Tuesday morning I was on that school like white on rice. I told them enough of ignoring this he's starting to loose self esteem over this issue and its going to be resolved NOW. TRUSE ME

I'm glad he's getting help. I've had to miss recess to study spelling, and it just wasn't working for me. So I know how he feels. It will get better for him now that he's got help.
