She still needs her ass whipped for not checking in sooner! Creating unnecessary worry is not good.

I mean for God's Sake Helen. You live in tick infested hell! God only knows what you could have been exposed to.

    I love you, JBT.

Sorry, sorry. I literally had no energy to sit up at the computer while I was sick. I'd have a family member post for me -- but then they'd find out about me and the mule. The mule has his local reputation to consider.

We're replacing the pressure tank and re-capping the well with a modern (health department approved) system, plus I'm going to run bleach through the works.

When someone needs help, the natural response is to do everything possible. There were several of us hovering over this woman, including some of my kids, and it was a day or so later before we found out what we might have been exposed to. Scary.

Helen, if I could lay my hands on you I would bend you over my knee and spank you. You know better than that.

    Helen, glad you are okay.

A high school student in the adjoining town was dianosed with bacterial meningitis on Friday. The school staff spent the whole weekend trying to track down every student who may have had close contact with her...no small task there. Every year we have several cases of bacterial meningitis in this general area, which is pretty scary when you work in close contact with children, as I do.

Thanks for checking in Helen and happy to hear you are recovering! I LOL'd over the mule's reputation remark! BTW, what was the woman finally diagnosed with and is SHE ok now?

So....I'm not the first to think about spanking Helen. Well, maybe the first, but not alone, LOL.

Still not sure what the lady had, but she was in ICU for something like a week. I had the intestinal stuff mixed with fever, headache, stiff neck, and unusual fatigue. I was hoping it was only west nile virus.

Thank you for giving me quick info when I needed it. When the group of us found out what we might be facing, it was a very sober moment.

Unk, if you aren't the first to think about it, perhaps you'll be the first allowed to try it.

My normal psychological persuasion would be to hand it out, but I did do a bad thing there.
