I'm fixin' to go in town to Super Wally World. The news this morning said that since 150,000 people evacuated, there was actually an empty parking space. I don't need nothin', I just want to see it for myself.

After Andrew the problem was that folks standing in their doorway with a shotgun were standing in a doorway that lead straight to the backyard. I cannot fault them for wanting to shoot the first *#&@#% who showed up wanting to shift through what was left of their worldly goods, damned if I wouldn't shoot the rat-bastard too.

Damn son, if ya need a place to store those plants for the next storm give ol' Unk a call would ya. Your pot plants will be safe with me, honest.

No, no Unk! I meant <i>potted</i> plants. You know, those things the missus keeps so you can kill them the first time she goes away for the weekend.

I'm still struggling with the mental picture of a benightied Pammy, holding a '97 Winchester with the short barrel, like they used as trench guns in WW1.

Just think, Unk, 4 more storms this year, and we could have a hurricane "Pammy". That one would be guaranteed touble!
