I wouldn't classify it as "fun" but at times it does border on "stimulating".

    Flint:

Yeah, I remember it well. I was going down I90 at about 60 [no speed limit then]; the sky was clear, except for one cloud; damned thing moved over and started dropping marble sized hail. Sure glad I had a helmet with a face mask.

Then there was the time I was riding [what would now be called dirt bike in the mountains]. My sheep dog always rode behind me. We hit a hole in the trail and the whole thing flipped and landed on me. Nothing broken but a baseball sized injury swelled up on my right shin. Still reappears under certain weather conditions.

The dog was a different matter. He decided to walk back to the truck. After that, if I approached the bike, he would crawl under the workbench and whine.

    Best Wishes,,,,,

    Pammy:

I really didn't have much choice. My last Harley was plumb wore out.

    Z:

I also rode in hail once. Fortunately, I'm one of those almost nonexistent Harley people who wears a full face helmet. Never dumped it, though. Back when I used to race a Ninja, that was a different story.

I just had a short comment to make about the original post. Socrates, without the fluff, we won't know each other well enough to care about other's opinions about anything "important". IMHO, of course.

Flint's quote cited above by Pammy is blacked out on my screen. I have seen that happen before. Does everyone have this or is it only me?

    Lars:

Shows up with an orange background for me. Some IT services do censor information coming to young'ins like you. More likely your moniter or your software, or some such thing. I have given-up trying to sort out the problems with our windows machines. Now that they are firing all of the IT people to save money, I guess we will switch entirely to Mac and Linux.

Lars, it comes out black on my screen, too. But you can read it anyway if you outline it as if you were going to do a cut and paste.
