Oops, forgot that Helen also visits TB2K. Wouldn't be surprised if Puggles posts there too. He might be "Patrick".

I don't just visit timebomb! I'm performing community service work by trying to point out the stupidity of forum members arming themselves to go sniper hunting, nuking other countries just so we can get back to betting on football games, and so forth. I have been invited to leave the country -- and not even for a cruise, mind you, just to leave altogether -- and called unpleasant names synonymous with coward.
I tell you, I suffer over there. Why do that here?

Helen:
You are really a saint. No, you are more than a saint; you are the keeper of the mule; our most sacred leader.
I haven't looked a TB2K in a long time. Someone emailed that they had now cloistered the lunatic fringe out of public view. I have looked in two times. I read threads on two areas in my field; development of recombinant viruses as bioweapons and aflatoxin. My response based on the posts; they don't know much about these fields and, indeed, can't even reference people who do.
While mild mannered, the fact that I lack time to post there is probably a "good thing" [don't let the SEC see this ].
I'm sure that I wouldn't last a week.
Best Wishes,,,,,

I don't aspire to be a defender of TB2K but I do see many there who oppose invading Iraq.
Whatever, at least there is activity there.

If you want activity, I would suggest an ant farm.

More seriously, if you have fun there, go with it. After all, that is what this is all about.
Best Wishes,,,,

I prefer more than half a dozen people or so exchanging favorite recipes, though. Sorry I've run out of interesting things to say.

Actually, it sometimes is fun. Like yesterday I posted something mildly creative on TB2K's Religion SIG. It pissed off Patrick bigtime. Now that was fun.
Ant farms? I don't normally trust critters with more than 4 legs. But ants do make good eatin'. Anyone got some recipes?

Rule of thumb. Don't trust anyone "who don't want a pickle". Too many head injuries; even with a helmet. I know from experience.

Take it from me, motorcycles are without any redeeming virtues. Yes, even with helmets they are very unsafe. You have no protection. They fall over. Car drivers look to see if there are any cars coming before pulling out (or turning left) and a motorcycle is not a car; the answer is no.
A motorcycle is nearly as expensive per mile to operate as a car (and more than some cars). You get drenched when it rains, you freeze when it's cold and roast when it's hot. You can carry almost nothing in the line of cargo or passengers. They're easy to steal and prohibitive to insure. And my new Harley had the highest purchase price of any vehicle I've ever owned.
For you, I recommend a nice safe Ford Excursion.
