in Virginia...driving into Va from Tennessee was just beautiful...the leaves were at full color..though a little past peak..a week later on the way back home...they wee all gone..I mean NOTHING,,,amazing what a week can do...

Yeah, nothing like nature preparing for rejuvenation by destroying the old to bring on a bout of melancholy. I like the red and brown phase. The branchy dead phase brings out the worst in me. Probably also because it heralds that holiday I like to refer to as "the C-word".
