here ya go Rog
Kentucky Egg Nog
3 doz eggs
1 gal thick cream to be whipped
1 1/2 lbs sugar
1 pt whiskey
1pt rum
1pt gin
1 pt brandy
whip whites and yolks of eggs separately until very light. divide the sugar putting some in the white and the remainder in the yolks.
beat until very light and then combine, beating thoroughly, then add the whiskey to cook the eggs. Whip the cream and add it gradually to the above mxture, adding at intervals the other beverages..when finished if too thick, thin to desired consistency with rich milk..sweeten to taste. bbe untiring in the beating as that makes it smooth, velvety and prevents separating...then watch everyone pass out.. When I was but a wee lad, my mom would make one gallon of sweet eggnog (no alcohol) a year. it consisted of a lot of sugar, Milk, and 18 eggs....I loved it, I wish I knew the ingrediants coz I could easily drink a gallon of the stuff

You make it sound soooooo appealing.
It looks kinda vomity. But I'll try the recipe this year. Raw eggs were somewhat of a taboo here ever since the Dutch salmonella outbreak of '88. But I read they have special pasturized egss now, so one can make proper mayonaise at home again.
Or eggnog.
Just one thing. What exactly *is* brandy? Is it the same as cognac? Name a brand and I'll get a bottle at the liquor store. I'd hate to use my expensive V.S.O.P in something called "eggnog".

Re: What Holiday Food ARe You?
I often had diarrhea. Especially during the period when the holidays began and it was necessary to cook a lot of fatty acids. When I watched
, I immediately excluded the products that caused diarrhea. Now I'm on a diet and I feel great!
