I mastered the flat iron, I can make my hair so nice and straight...never could get the curling iron right...now I don't have to go to the salon once a week...I CAN DO IT MYSELF...just another way to save money in these tough times...I also cancelled my caller Id. I only get the newspaper twice a week instead of every day. No fast food...now give me some of your ideas

Use only one square of toilet paper at a time. Seinfeld 101.

ACtually we bake our own bread and that saves us quite a bit and it tastes better.

Caller ID costs extra in the U.S.? Man, they charge you for *everything* down there.

Or up there. What is it anyway?

Hmm. Even Ottawa has a longitude closer to the equator than Amsterdam. So that must mean you're way, way, way down south relative to my position.

I *must* start referring to you as Southerners now. Yes, I must.

I know a guy who twists the green bits off his tomatoes before he buys them, cause he figures he shouldn't be paying for the extra weight.

That's in the same category of calling people and saying "the line's really bad - mind calling me back?" to save a few bucks on the phone bill.

When I lived in Florida I use to pull the grapes off the stems...I didn't want to pay for the stems.

Re: ways to save money in tough times

Decentralized finance platforms, also known as DeFi, have been making waves in the financial industry in recent years. These platforms are built on blockchain technology, which allows for decentralized and trustless financial transactions.

DeFi platforms offer a range of financial services, such as lending, borrowing, trading, and investment management, without the need for intermediaries like banks or financial institutions. This allows for faster and more efficient transactions, as well as greater transparency and security.

One of the main advantages of DeFi platform is their accessibility. Anyone with an internet connection can access these platforms, regardless of their location or financial status. This makes them a powerful tool for promoting financial inclusion and democratizing access to financial services.

As the popularity of DeFi continues to grow, we are likely to see even more innovative financial products and services emerge on these platforms. However, it is important to note that DeFi platforms also come with their own set of risks and challenges, such as smart contract vulnerabilities and regulatory uncertainty.

Overall, DeFi platforms represent an exciting new frontier in the world of finance, and have the potential to revolutionize the way we think about and interact with financial services.
