It started storming here, early yesterday afternoon and last night was real bad. We had high winds, hail, and rained so hard you couldn't see across the street.
There was a tornado touched down about 20 miles south of us and tore up a barn and a couple of trailers (surprize), It also flipped a farm semi over. but luckily no one got hurt.

I keep having the weirdest thoughts... especially after I heard the news today, seems 5 people died as a result of the storms Rog and I suffered threw. Funny they didn't seem so bad here which just goes to show how Mother Nature works.

The local TV stations had the weather on almost the whole night. We watched the radar as it just keept getting closer, we were lucky as several communities got hit real bad. Its sad to see people who have lost everything to due an act of nature

I agree, HOWEVER as I told Mummy the other day, I had an epiphany while watching Oprah (LOL I KNOW) But they were talking to Katrina survivors about the struggles the had had over the last year. 90% of them kept talking baout their stuff and how losing your stuff is so horrible. In this country IT CAN'T BE THAT BAD...losing a loved one is always bad BUT STUFF??? There are so many people willing to help if you ask for it. 45 families got new homes and new stuff from Oprah and more families will get new housing in a few months...BRAND SPANKIN NEW. I think I would feel blessed as long as all my loved ones (including my animlas) made it out alive!

You are sooooooooooooo right sis!!! "Stuff" can be replaced but your loved ones, and I too include animals here, can't be brought back,...

People some times get so attached to material things, And I have to include myself in that, but as I get older and maybe more mature (Noooooo!), I have come to realize that you are both right. Things can be replaced, but people who love you and people you love are a temporary treasure and we need to appreciate them while we can.
