I'm finally getting around to continuing with old DW while replaying Dragon Age. I am in season nine, on The Sea Devils. I've grown a bit tired of UNIT and the 'modern' Earth based serials. The 3rd Doctor is okay, but I more so find myself really enjoying the 1st Master. I really enjoyed how he was the "big bad" of season 8.
The serials still seem far too stretched out (like a Bendis comic), but the stories aren't horrible. I'm look forward to the Fourth Doctor just to (hopefully) get back off of Earth. I am also really looking forward to The Three Doctors. Seeing the first two again without missing episodes and in color has a lot of promise
I do like that the third Doctor seems to be the most well developed so far. However, that may be due to not having seen so many episodes of the 1st and 2nd.

The Sea Devils is pretty good though, since they got the navy's permission to use their stuff.
I dislike Jo. Just wait until season 5 when Sarah Jane Smith arrives.
Yeah, they're starting to improve. I guess they realized they needed to mix it up some. Sea Devils was cool. Now I'm in the middle of the mutants. With luck, I might finish season 9 today. That'll be it until Monday though. I'll be out of town for Mel's graduation.

Okay, Jo is starting to wear on me. I'm most of the way through the Green Death, so she's almost gone. She just sits around being ditzy most of the time unless it interesting for her to show scientific knowledge. When she's not doing that, she's just being clumsy. She feels like she's been around way too long.
*mooooooooo*
The one good thing about Jo is that her tenure has some really strong episodes that have political and social commentary tied to them, such as The Mutants, The Green Death, the Peladon stories, the war between the Draconions and the Humans whose name I can;t recall, and so forth.
Did you see the Neil Gaiman episode of season 6, the 4th one a week ago?
Heck yeah! We thought it was pretty damned good. I was really excited that there might be other time lords. I was also really excited that the Doctor might be able to communicate with the TARDIS going forward. Unfortunately neither came to pass.
Also, I just finished Genesis of the Daleks in the old stuff.

Are you current on new who? You've seen The Almost People, but not A Good Man Goes to War, correct?
What did you think of that two parter? And let me know when you see the Good Man. I'd like to hear what you have to say.
*mooooooooo*
Correct, curremt as of last Saturday, so I saw the weak two parter - didn;t deserve to be a two partner. I'm also starting to get alittle bored of Other Doctors as a plotline - Another 10th Doctor vs the Daleks, a clone that is his Daughter, Him as a Human, Him living among Humans as a Doctor trying to blend in, DoctorDonna, and now this. Boring.
