Well, Trevor Lewis decided to point out to me last night at the dinner that I had actually named the board 'Eclectic VehemenTS', not 'VehemenCE'. So just for the record, I named it correctly, 'Eclectic Vehemence'.
Now I'll take us all back to Mr. Downs' vocabulary assignemnts by doing a quick comparison to analyze the difference between the two words:
Def: vehement (adj). Characterized by forcefulness of expression or intensity of emotion or conviction; fervid, AND Marked by or full of vigor or energy; strong.
Now, VEHEMENT is an adjective, which would make 'Eclectic Vehements' incorrect, mostly because vehement cannot be made plural. That's why another form, VEHEMENCE is a noun. Therefore, when you put 'eclectic' (an adjective) and 'vehemence' (a noun) together, it works.
Wow, that was probably the most pointless research I've ever done. But now we're all smarter and more educated for it. Thanks, Trev!
