"have you ever thought about what it would be like if you weren't blind?" the man asked from across the table.

"everyday of my life."

"and what do you come up with?"

"more or less the same as it is now, except i'd be more superficial." it was a simple reply to the reporter who jotted down her words on a crumpled napkin.

"that was a good answer."

"i've had years to work on it." and dahlia smiled her all-knowing grin and though she couldn't see it, the reporter smiled back.
