    <center>Well, it's a long way to Richmond
    Rolling north on 95...
    with a redhead riding shotgun,
    and a pistol by my side.

    Tearing down that highway
    like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde

    We met a truck stop,
    Johnson City, Tennesee.
    I was gasin' up my Firebird
    when I heard her callin' me...
    Said "Which way are you headed boy?
    Do you need some company?"

    She had me stoppin at a quick mart
    before we made it out of town.

    Next thing she was running at me,
    telling me to "Lay that hammer down!
    "Cause there's a man right behind me,
    doing his best to slow me down..."

    A businessman and a cowboy, a negotiator and a rouge, impatient and trigger happy, cautious and concerned --

    A captain had to wear many masks. Davis wore them well.

    "Davis, it can't be that bad." Maeryn was always his go-to woman because she had been married longer than anyone else he knew had even been alive after he knew them and she never judged what he had to say. She just listened and offered her two cents.

    "MAE I SHOT HER." Davis finally exploded, instead of shaking his head and muttering incoherently. "I shot her in the stomach -- by accident, I shot her by accident but I shot her, she's going to hate me." Flopping into James' side of the bed, the captain's arm draped over his eyes. It was bad enough that he had to talk to his best friend and first mate in her own bed, because she couldn't even walk yet. And she might not, as James had confided into the Captain in the strictest confidence. An infection had attacked her bloodstream and the outlook was bleak -- but if anyone would pull through, it would be both Maeryn and Bella.

    Davis was hoping luck was on his side. He couldn't lose both of his best girls.

    "...well. Is she alive? Because if she's dead -- no, that's not helping, okay." Mae was trying to be as comforting as possible. "Dav, it's okay. She's going to come through and kick your ass, you'll see."

    "You think so?" His voice was choked with something akin to emotion and Maeryn cleared her throat because it was an awful uncomfortable spot to be in. Laying in bed with the captain who was about to cry? Not comfortable.

    "I know so. James can fix anybody up, you know that." Reaching over, she rubbed his stomach because she knew it irritated him and he instinctively curled into a ball and groaned -- that was always amusing. "You better watch your back when she gets out of there though, she's gonna shoot you right in the face."

    ...but Mae wasn't kidding, really.

    From: Buckingham & Co.

    Your recent arrival here has been brought to our attention, and we are most interested in requesting your services. It is believed that a wanted criminal has taken up residence here. Though the authorities here are quite capable, we do not believe they would be able to handle this fugitive. Therefore, we have sent a copy of her rapsheet and wish you to look it over. Should you choose to accept our offer, you and your crew will be rewarded handsomely upon her capture.

    If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at our main office.

    She thinks I walk on water;
    She thinks I hung the moon.
    She tells me every mornin',
    "They just don't make men like you."

    She thinks I've got it together;
    She swears I'm as tough as nails.
    But I don't have the heart to tell her,
    That she don't know me that well.
    She don't know how much I need her;
    She don't know I'd fall apart,
    Without her kiss, without her touch,
    Without her faithful lovin' arms.

    She don't know that it's all about her;
    She don't know I can't live without her.
    She's my world, she's my everything,

    And she thinks she needs me.

    Sometimes, she cries on my shoulder,
    When she's lyin' next to me.
    But she don't know that when I hold her,
    That she's really holdin' me, holdin' me.

    She don't know how much I need her;
    She don't know I'd fall apart,
    Without her kiss, without her touch,
    Without her faithful lovin' arms.

    She don't know that it's all about her;
    She don't know I can't live without her.
    She's my world, she's my everything,
    And she thinks she needs me.

    Yeah, now the funny thing is,
    She thinks she's the lucky one.

    She don't know how much I need her;
    She don't know I'd fall apart,
    Without her kiss, without her touch,
    Without her faithful lovin' arms.
    She don't know that it's all about her;
    She don't know I can't live without her.
    She's my world, she's my everything,
    And she thinks she needs me.

    She thinks I walk on water;
    She thinks I hung the moon.
