Well, on my D16y8 kit, there are two 1/8" nipples in the aluminum adaptor that connects the s-pipe to the blower.
One connects to the bypass valve. The other connects to the cruise control.
JUst installed the SC today. I need some assistance with the bypass valve.
Where do the vaccum lines on the bypass valve go?
I have the lower nipple connected to the purge solenoid and the upper to the manifold. Is this correct?

are we talking about the same thing?
in this pic, the big black plastic cylinder with
the vacuum hose coming off it. thats the bypass valve i'm talking about.

Maybe the newer kits come w/ plastic bypas valves...
I have one of those nipples (in the bypass valve) going to the bypass actuator (black cylinder with rod sticking out). I have the other one going to my fuel pressure regulator.

And it doesn't even make sense that the bypass would have two vacuum nipples. All you need is one vacuum source to open the valve. What would a second nipple do?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Yes, the black cylinder with the rod sticking out. That's what I'm talking about. Maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. However, there are two nipples on the bypass actuator. One at the very top, facing towards the manifold. The other protruding from the side near the bottom facing towards the throttle body.Originally posted by Jaker:

Why cruise control?
I have an older kit made for the D16Z6.
what kit did you get, bseries or dseries?
check this out, for bseries.
didnt even know they had this up on their site.
the cspeedracing engine swap DIY is like gospel,
if only i knew they did a jrsc install DIY when I was doing mine!!(altho i'm dseries so it wouldnt be stepbystep for me).

anyways,
about the bypass valve, there should be one vacuum line going from the black plastic valve to the spot imbetween the S pipe and supercharger.
there are 2 nipples on that spot. the vacuum line goes to one, the other one is capped off.
at least thats how it is on my setup(sohc)
