i been drag my hatch jrsc for a year now
i never had time to look at my boost guage when launching on a jrsc does it hold boost or do u need a 2 step rev limiter to hhold boost of the line
and jim wat is ur timimg at rite now on ur jrsc
best run was 12,7 @106

I use Hondata, so my distributor timing is stock at 16' BTDC.
That is a really good time... keep it up !!!

As I mentioned in the other thread... it is not necessary to launch in boost... unlike a Turbo car where one must load up the engine to create positive manifold pressure, a JRSC will make a specified amount of boost at any given rpm... all you have to do is let the brake go !!! The bypass valve will close in less than a tenth of a second. At that point, you will have the appropriate amount of boost for your launch rpm.
Stop watching the gauge and watch the tree...

ive had read lots of stuff launching in boost with therere jrsc they say it makes a world of a diffrence

Ask the folks who posted such blather how they did it... the reply will be a LIE... or at least an exaggeration. I suppose that if you were to use some type of two-step launch limiter, your car would be wavering between boost and vaccuum in a rythmic pattern... and if the light dropped just right... you could feasibly launch at very low boost. Now, if they are suggesting that they can launch at FULL, or nearly full, boost... the answer is NOT !!!
