i bought a used hondata unit, guy told me i need to get my p72 ecu chipped for it to work, and he said it would cost me 65 bux.
its a s200 unit and it has most of it unlocked, i just need to get someone to program boost for me.
my question is, can i get my ecu chipped and run the s200 without boost? or should i wait till i get boost programmed into it then have it hooked up.

dont run any boost until you have a it programmed for boost. Asking questions like this is a likely indication you should be doing some research on boosted hondas or bye bye motor. Not trying to sound like a dick, I just dont want to see a post in a week that says my motors smoking

oh its not problem, i wasnt going to hook it up till i get boost added to it anyways, i just needed to know what else i need to put on it.
not sure if i need to get a new 3bar map sensor?
i just got the unit with everything, just need to socket my ecu, add boost, get a base map and dyno tune.

I am truly speechless...
I cannot believe you spent your hard earned money on a Kami header instead of TUNING the parts that you already have !!!
Seriously, before you spend another dollar on parts, you need to buy the boost upgrade for your s200 and get the car tuned.
Making the parts that you already have work in unison should be your priority... not adding more parts to the chaos that surrounds your engine now.
