Random tech or Carsound Cat? Which is better?

So which is better? I've heard good and bad about both. I did a search but couldn't find anything.

I've had both. I'll just say this to keep it short.
The Random cost twice as much and lasted 2 months until the bricks inside came loose and it sounded like a rock rolling around in a coffee can. I got a warrantee replacement and promptly sold it without re-installing.

The carsound I've got see's more boost and has been in the car for over a year now, and cost half of what a random cat. does. There's a guy in CO that sells them for $95 shipped:

Thanks for the info. Anyone else? My brother knows some people with carsound and it caused the CEL to come on, but on the net I find most people like carsound.
