    Question

I took a look at my exhaust manifold gasket today while the car has been pulled apart.. and it looks like its leaking on the bottom of 3 of 4 primaries.

I'm using a kamikaze header, and i think that gasket only has 6000 miles on it or so. it probably has something to do with the fact that the kamikaze doesnt have a support bracket, and has very little flange on the bottom...

anyhooo.. can anyone recommend a different gasket? a copper one or something?

I would try an OEM gasket.

I finally got everything put back together, and reused the stock gasket. Now I'm getting a noticable lead up from (ie. can actually see exhaust).

I think this has to do with the construction quality of the Kamikaze header in combination with the small amount of mating surface on the bottom of the flange (and the lack of a support bracket).

I would like to try replacing the gasket with a Mr. Gasket CopperSeal (pg 34. of this pdf: http://www.mrgasket.com/ftp/pdf/Gaskets.pdf

Here is my question however.. which one do i use for a B16? They dont specifically mention the B16, but they do have a B16 application. Are they the same?

I can't get the file to open but, ALL B16s are virtually the same.
    So YES it should work.
