Just happened on to the board. I think I found a place where I can feed my addiction. I'm doing a frame-off '72 Suburban and I think the list of parts I need is never ending.

My frame is finished (powder coated, chrome accents, new 3/4 ton suspension front and rear, stainless steal nuts, bolts, cables and lines). I'm now working on my engine (350 with TPI) and transmission (thinking about changing to an overdrive). The body is on my trailer waiting to go to the body shop. If anybody knows of any good shops in the Dallas area, please let me know.

I also have a 72 3/4 ton 4 X 4 Suburban for sale. Fairly straight body with rust in the usual places. I would like to part it out (I could use some of the parts myself), but I have no room in my thimble size driveway and garage. I don't have any pictures that I can post for you, but I am working on it. I'm asking $2,400.00. If there is any interest, let me know.

Anyway, gotta go. I'm looking forward to be talking with ya'll soon.

    David

Welcome to the board. I can't use the parts as I have most of what I need and also I have a Panel truck.

Welcome. Sounds like you are doing all the right stuff. The four speed overdrive is a great idea. The price for your 4X4 3/4 ton sounds good. I would be interested but you can have only so many toys unless you are Paul (GMC Paul). That guy has it made with a perfect job when you love these trucks. smile
