Have any of you done the conversion yet? Have you gotten any grief from the law?

what is the difference between HID & projectors? Do they sell HID units for DX's?
Would you post a photo of HID lights? Thanks

HID is the bulb type. They are a Xenon gas discharge (no filament). They use a high voltage but much less current so you get amazing performance (something like 300% brighter) than a standard halogen bulb. A lot of high end cars have them. Some have a bit of a blue tint and that's what these blue bulbs that people buy are trying to emulate. The conversion kits aren't DOT legal but I'm thinking about going for it anyway. So far the cheapest I've seen is $440 or $550 for an all Philips kit.
