Well...I am not into the competition thing like some of you, some of you ppl are way over the edge http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif, but I do like my stuff to sound decent.
I have a Kenwood KDC-5011 head unit with 6.5" Kenwood 2 ways in the front doors and 6.5" JBL GTs in the rear deck.
I have my car wired for an amp, but don't have one in yet. I think i just want a nice small 50-100W to drive a 8-10" sub for the trunk..nothing fancy.
Incidentally..my CD Player has been giving me problems with CD's....lots of skipping and crap..any ideas? I used a CD head cleaner, but some CD's which play fine in everything else, skip on this player. It is only 2 years old.

well, it could be your laser eye is off. go you your local stereo shop and have them do a "bench test" (some shops it's free if the unit is already out)
you have good product in your car! i highly suggest MTX amps. they aren't too hard on the pocket with excellent performance.
wanna talk about warped thinking? my hubby at one time considered "walkie talkie" headsets so driver & pass. could communicate while his system was running in his old car. now that is outta control http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well, believe it or not I think its an Audiovox. It's not an in dash, but it is 12V and it's only $440. Plus it plays MP3's. It's not like we have a place to put an indash in anyways. I hook up my PS2 on long trips. That's actually pretty killer. I don't have DTS or Surround, but the stereo separation is more than enough. And watchin Gladiator on a 3 hour road trip is a nice convenience. I'd love to trade my p-907 in for the new kenwood kvt-???? but it just costs too much.

Do you only have problems when your playing CD-R's? I know my deck even has trouble playing them and I paid $2300 for it. But it plays regular CD's just fine.
