how in the world can you do a ground up restore on basically any honda? there are so many parts that you can't buy new like you can on Domestics..like interior pieces and what not. I wish Honda would start a cataloge so that we can buy discontinued parts. That would be smart...something they can learn from the domestics

153k here...but that # amazes me a little.
Little over a year ago it had just past 140k...since then its been in 20-30 autocrosses, one trip to the drag strip, one day of road racing, and taken to me school/work everyday...rain or shine. And it still runs like a top and eats very little oil. But there are 3 or so hondas I race with that have over 200k in their motors...those cars run like they don't even know they are old lol.

157,000 here, doesn't burn any oil. But the damn pressure plate on the clutch is goin bad. It's pretty weird for that to wear out before the friction plate but o-well. Motor Mounts went bad a couple months ago too I got lucky on those though and got brand new ones for free. Oh yeah and I had an axle go bad when I first got the car but that's about all that I've had to do to it.

189,955...with mostly original parts...new ignitor/plug wires around 90k, clutch at 167k, and a few axles and timing belts. This has been my only car (and was the family hauler for many years) since I bought it with 63,000 miles on it in 1994. I usually get about 32MPG out of it, but I have gotten as high as 40 on a trip or two when the motor was a little younger and didn't burn so much oil (about 1 quart every 2000 miles currently)
I was hoping to get the ZC in it at 190,000 so it would be easy to remember when I put it in, cuz i don't think the current bad axle (CV joint) will make it to an even 200,000, and I want to do all that work at once...besides I don't want to have to drive with the DX motor another 10,000 miles either now that I have the ZC sitting in the garage...it looks to be so much more of a manly motor that the d15 - lol! muhahahaha
I dunno how you only have 75,000 miles Eric...u must never drive the thing...do u just wash it and take pictures of it? j/k
