Air conditioning

I own a 95' sol and don't have air conditioning. I'm going to be moving to new mexico soon and need one. Anybody have any ideas on how much this is going to run me??? and where i can pick said system up? Last, last resort is the dealership. VERY LAST. Thanks!

Geo has one in his Sol. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you 'borrowed' it for a while since we are in the Fall/Winter stretch. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

You have AC don't you Thomas? What's your addy? I'll send a couple of guys over to help you 'test' you system so you don't sweat too badly down there.

No actually i dont have ac currently...the ac compressor died on the way down...it started making this really bad grinding sound like something was grinding inside...then after a puff of smoke, it died...still waiting to find a reputable place to get it replaced...im thinking for the price, i might as well swap a whole new D series in there...

Can you tell if it is just the clutch? That would be the easiest and cheapest thing to fix. Maybe your Sol is trying to tell you that it doesn't want to stay in Californicate.

It is totally dead now...im just gonna replace the entire thing...and the sol was made for Califowniah as the governator puts it...
