You were right about a new record. lol. We both set new records at the same time. Side by side screaming motors all the way to the end of the track. That was some really killer runs. I made two 15.2 runs, and don't know how I got the extra mile per hour. lol We defenitly have to make another time to meet there. I don't think my exhaust and header did all that much for dragging, and mostly its all for top end too. Very exciting it was.

i dhould have metioned , but I forgot that they had sprayed a compound on the track just before you guys ran, thus the big jump.

VHT is what the name of that stuff is.

Don't know what it is, but your right some sort of sticky stuff.

My 60' time wasn't really any better on that run though, I don't know where I lost the extra time.

I think they normally use the VHT stuff on the launch area. I'm pretty sure you guys are right in that it's made to make that part a little more stickier.

Moe (or do you prefer Jerry?), you shoulda told me you didn't put any sunblock on. I thought you had, since you and Jason were talking about it when we all got there. I had a bottle SPF 30 in my car.... doh!

I read my ticket and I didn't noticed any lower time in my 60's either. Though I did gain one mile per hour faster. Must have been me leaning forward in my seat that did it. lol I beleive since we were side by side we ran our sols a little harder than normal. We did both break out on our runs. I took the win because Jason put a slower dial-in causing a bigger gap between the breakout time. I had a smaller gap. Maybe Veris hit his lower time cuz of that VHT. Not sure. Did anyone notice when the stuff was sprayed down? Still had fun.

Veris, I think if you pull off your power steering belt also, you should be around our times. Both me and Jason notice a difference. It's easy to take off and put on, so it can be done at the track and later put on when were done. I am going to also take off the belt to my A/C and possible Altinator. I will have to look into getting a larger and stronger spare battery. Thats another drag racing trick I heard. Not sure about doing it yet.
