It can be cassette, cd, or lp (or 8 track, actually).

Mine was on cassette. It was Def Leppard-Hysteria. Listened to that damned thing all the time. My first cd was Joey C. Jones. Really never listened to that one until I re-bought it a few years ago off ebay. Still, Hysteria has a special place in my heart to this day. Don't listen to it as much anymore, though. Crazy, eh? One of the albums by Chicago. It was around 1977. I then bought Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" and Aerosmith's "Greatest Hits".

But the first album that was ever MINE was the Monkees album that was all white with "The Monkees" in the the red guitar letters. You know the one Donna!!! That was about 1974 or '75.

I'm just glad I was born when I was...

About 5 years later and I'd be listening to Alice in Chains or some kinda gangsta rap.

Doesn't matter when I was born, I would never have been listening to Rap. All my friends in Junior High were into Rap and breakdancing. I wore the parachute pants, but I went in the other direction with it all and found Punk. No guitars in Rap. I have played since I was 5, and I always wanted guitars in my music.

Now Alice In Chains I did like on the "Facelift" album, and still think that one is half good. Didn't like anything else from them though.

Hey, looks like you have a fun thread going over there on the "Billy" one. Gee, I might join in...
