That would be great, although i think for full effect, an equally powerful, original score would have to be composed for it. Those classics would stand out like a sore thumb during gameplay, because everyone knows them and has their own associations with them, whereas a new score would make the experience more exclusive to the story and characters. Only problem is, how do you compete with the emotive power of compositions like moonlight Sonata and Vivaldi's Four Seasons? No easy task...
Anyway, im currently listening to the live album of an irish folk band called Solas.

"You know I never
I never seen you look so good
You never act the way you should
But I like it
And I know you like it too
The way that I want you
I gotta have you
Oh yes, I do
I never
I never ever stay out late
You know that I can hardly wait
Just to see you
And I know you cannot wait
Uh wait to see me too
I gotta touch you
'Cause baby we'll be
At the drive-in
In the old mans ford
Behind the bushes
'Till Im screamin for more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me
You know I call you
I call you on the telephone
Im only hoping that you're home
So I can hear you
When you say those words to me
And whisper so softly
I gotta hear you
'Cause baby we'll be
At the drive-in
In the old mans ford
Behind the bushes
'Till Im screamin for more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me
C.c. pick up that guitar and talk to me
'Cause baby we'll be
At the drive-in
In the old mans ford
Behind the bushes
'Till Im screamin for more, more, more
Down the basement
Lock the cellar door
And baby
Talk dirty to me, yeah
And baby
Talk dirty to me, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
And baby
Talk dirty to me"
Posion - Talk Dirty to Me
Kinda silly I know, but it's fun to listen to

@Cataferal: That makes a lot of sense, I hadn't thought of that, but now I see why original music would be better.

Not listening to anything right now, but my tastes have made a complete 180, and then decided to settle between my old (RAWR Japanese!), and new (RAWR! Indie and classic rock!) I now switch around between anime songs (If it's hotblooded, I'll take it,) video game music (Again, hotblooded, please,) classical (Ok, just Beethoven,) classic rock (Mostly Queen nowadays,) and indie stuff (Wold Parade? Arcade Fire? Kthxsmoar please.)

Thanks to work, I have a chance to listen a lot of music a day. I've listening to:
- Lots and lots of Faye Wong music, good for smooth coding.
- My Christmas selection of suitable anime and games music, most notably Love Hina ~Silent Eve~.
- KOTOKO randoms, good for deadline coding and mornings. I hate some mornings, I keep thinking and typing somewhat sensible code but my eyes close the second I'm not being careful.
- Chrono Trigger SPCs.

Dog Fashion Disco - Moonlight City Drive
These guys pretty much mix up every style that exists on this planet, and they do it really good, they have a wide range of different music for different tastes... Too bad they decided to put an end to their awesome band =/
And to think that Tokyo Hotel or whatever is blooming... and bands great like DFD vanish...
