The first one is the opening song from Wind ~a breath of heart~, sung by Megumi Hasegawa. The second is Trust you're Truth, by KOTOKO. Yup, they're Jpop. Note that, just like the mainstream Final Fantasy series, this is still artistic too, and can be enjoyed regardless of popularity and marketing.

I despise singers, mainly because they rely on others to make music. For example, the sample posted by Wiseman, it seems like there were a good number of people involved in making it, yet only the singer is recognised for it. It's just not right and is the main reason i hate manufactued music.

If I could understand the lyrics, I'd want to kill myself I listened to J-pop. As it is, I'm ignorant there, so I get to have fun listening to it, without having to cringe at the lyrics. However, looking up lyrics often ruins songs.
The only time I find good music, good lyrics with, nowadays is in Nightwish, and occasionally Sonata Arctica. Although, both are always fun.

IRT OCB: You're right about that, I always wondered who does the music. But I still find it enjoyable, regardless of this unfairness, which is not exclusive to pop. You can say Bill Gates is not the only shareholder in Microsoft, not all politicians write their fabulous speeches themselves, TV news is not just the guy speaking in front of the camera, etc.
