    Thats some really bad news...hate to hear it. Was this unexpected? I hadn't heard anything about him having any health problems or anything. Truly a legend...one of the top 4 or 5 coaches in VHSL history.

    BACK DURING THE SEASON(FOOTBALL),SOME PEOPLE HAD MENTIONED THAT HE WAS EXPERIENCING SOME HEALTH PROBLEMS AND THIS MIGHT BE HIS LAST YEAR,BUT I DON'T THINK ANYBODY FORESAW THIS HAPPENING.I AGREE THERE JAMES,SW VA HAS TRULY LOST A LEGEND,I DON'T KNOW OF A SINGLE PERSON WHO DIDN'T LIKE THIS MAN,IT'S SAD THAT WE WON'T BE SEEING HIM AROUND THE BALL FIELD ANYMORE.ANYWAY MY CONDOLOSCENCES TO THE FAMILY AND COMMUNITY,HE WILL BE MISSED BY ALL.

    He had recently resigned as head coach but I had not heard that he had any major health problems
