Just as I have suspected for quite some time, and so have many others, Jim Tressel normally fielded such a good defense and a just enough talented offensive players that he muddled around when it came to the overall offensive scheme.
Against Michigan, it's as if Tressel finally realized that different offensive schemes can be operated on the playing field on the same series of downs.
A quarterback who can run, recievers who get open, running backs who can find the hole. Funny to see how the moment they went to Ross at the end of the third quarter it was suddenly 3 and 4, the same inefficient system that has slowed them down all year long.
An excellent route was run by Holmes and an electric play resulted in a key short pass for a touchdown.
With the score now at 33-14, I was intrigued with the idea of Ohio State going for two points to make the lead 21 points instead of the conventional 20 points, but Tressel went for the sure one point.
Scoring drives of 99 yards and 97 yards proves that Ohio State played well below potential during the season.

By the way Gary Danielson is absolutely brilliant as a commentator. He makes so many logical observations plus he's made many spot on observations about player substitutions.
