Joe Inglett really put on a show yesterday with a ninth inning at bat against the Mariners closer that would make any ballplayer proud.

There were at least 6 or 7 fouled off pitches mixed around a couple of balls. After fouling off at least four balls, Mr. Inglett's bat flinched on a ball and the catcher jumped up all excited asking the ump to check with the third base ump.

What was even funnier was the home ump shook his head no that he would not check but the Mariners an*****rs paused a few seconds as if to imply that the home ump was checking with the third base ump. After a long pause the announcers say, looks like it's a ball.

They all wanted to see Super Joe at bat silenced. Instead Joe kept battling and ended up with a hit to left field. WAIT A MINUTE, Ronnie Belliard, who was at second, didn't stray off the second base bag very far
and as a result the left fielder was ablt to throw Ronnie out at third on a force play.

Wow.

Ronnie felt badly. Perhaps the fact that Ronnie was just getting over his hamstring injury had something to do with it and since he thought the left fielder was going to make the catch as well. Normally Ronnie runs the bases very smartly.

I hated to see the ninth inning rally foiled on what should have been a hit. But have no fear, after the bases were loaded on a Hollandsworth pinch hit single, Grady finished off the inning by bouncing into a double play.

I read it was his first of the season, is that possible?
