The Indians need to get Franky G to practice his sliding technique when he attempts to steal second base. The slide that Franky currently uses when sliding into home plate works well but it's also a bad technique when Franky is trying to steal second base.

Franky has been thrown out 3 times in a row at second on a steal attempt. Each time the throw from the catcher was high and to the right of the bag but each time Franky's upper body was erect and Franky literally slid right into the tag.

When sliding home Franky's slide technique works well because he can miss the catchers sweeping tag because his torso is erect AND Franky can slide past home plate. When Franky does the same slide technique into second base on a steal attempt, it's easier for the catcher to throw Franky out because the infielder can take a high throw to the right of the bag and Franky will literally slide into the tag, the infielder does not even have to move his glove!

If Franky slides into second base with his back flat on the ground he would have been safe each of the last three times he has been called out at second base. Each time Franky has been thrown out at second base was in a key situation in which we were trying to comeback from a deficit.

These are the little things that might make the Indians playoff trip a short one if they are not corrected.
