The sixth inning was an interesting blend of sac flys, incredible hustle by Ronnie Belliard on a chopper, all resulting in 3 runs scored on the way to a 3-1 victory.

With Hafner on second and Ben Broussard on first, Ronnie Belliard hit "Baltimore Chopper" towards thirds base. What was amazing to watch was how quickly Ronnie got out of the box and down the line! I'm talking Ronnie ran as fast as Grady or Coco down that line! Well under 4 seconds.

Now with the bases loaded, Boone hits a sac fly to deep center. Not only did Travis score, but Ben went from second to third.

That ended up being huge. The next batter, Jody Gerut, tried to call time, didn't get it, and a fraction of a second later Jody almost hit it out. Ben was able to score and
Ronnie tagged and went to second.

Some poor replay work by the Boston crew cut off the replay before we could see how close either the play was for Ben going to third on the previous play or Ronnie going to second on the second sac fly.

What did disturb me was Ben kind of jogged in the last few steps and if Ronnie had been thrown out at second Ben's run would not have counted. Josh Bard then Doubled and Ronnie scored the third run of the inning.

All that remained was Bob Wickman allowing two baserunners to get on base in the ninth before closing the door with an inning ending double play.
