I think it's possible for the Indians to catch the White Sox, however the Sox do have the second best relief pitching in the A.L. (behind the Indians), excellent pitching, AND Scott Podsednik, who can generate little ball anytime he is up.

Was it a coincidence that the White Sox recently lost 7 in a row while Podsednik was on the D.L. and then as soon as Podsednik came off the White Sox reeled off 7 wins in a row?

Probably it was partially a coincidence yet a compelling stat nonetheless.

If the Indians win 10 out of the final 12 games against Minnesota and Chicago, (they won the first of the 12 last night) I think they could catch Chicago.
