The hidden elbow trick did the Indians in last night. The batter right before Kielty clearly dipped his elbow in and let the ball hit it.

Martinez complained, but it appeared that wedge did nothing from the bench.Yet the perfect argument could have been made why the batter should have been called out, the batter may have been hit in the elbow, but the pitch was a strike!

You can't be hit by a pitch if the pitch thrown is a strike. If Wedge had simply asked the ump to ask the other umps if the pitch was as strike or not, he might have got a reversal on that call.

Every year, Wedge misses about two to three winneable protest calls. Why not protest the game? If nothing else it may give us an edge the following day because the play has to be reviewed and what ump wants to be made to look badly by a cheater?

Wedge needs a couple of wireless shock probes attached to his body so I CAN ALERT HIM when he's messing up. Compared to the Peralta interference from a week ago this call was a no brainer, batter interference, inning over, no grand slam.
