While I consider Lebron a Core unto himself,
who else on the team is a core player, as in a player the team builds around for the next several years?
I see a bunch of maybe type of core players.
Z is kinda sorta a core player, but probably too old to be a true core player.
But whom else is there that we can call a core player? Is Larry Hughes a core player?
What about Damon Jones? Verjao? Sasha? I assume Marshall is too old to be considered a core player.
Diop? Oops, he's currently coring elsewhere!
Luke Jackson?????
Is Flip Murray a core player?
I'm starting to run out of players now.
Snow is probably too old to be considered a core player.
What about Gooden? Yeah, Gooden is probably reaching core status. Newble, naw. Although Newble did sign a core type of contract a year or two ago.
So lets review....
Lebron, Gooden, Z, Verjao, Flip???, Hughes, Sasha, might be core guys, plus vet help in Snow and Marshall.
That's actually not a bad "core", but Hughes might be injury prone, Gooden is OK, Flip and Sasha, who knows???
If the Cavs are following the Indians plan, they have a long way to go. The actual players currently on the team could actually meld into core type of players, or not, it's that much of a toss up.
