Alex, I'm sure you can understand why teams are reluctant to give this guy a mammoth contract. He's kind of like the Randy Moss of baseball. He plays hard when he wants to. He was happy in Cleveland and his numbers prove that. That is why I believe something could be worked out with Juan but I don't think the Tribe is interested. Bad move!

Is Juan afraid of back surgery?

He must put a lot of torque on his back when he swings...is it only a matter of time before he has real problems?

A friend of mine once said, don't ever have back surgery! (his mom was a nurse)

Although someone in the family had back surgery and seems the better for it...it took over a year however...probably closer to a year and a half to fully recover.

His insurance premium will no doubt be deducted from what his annual salary is going to be.
