Remember when Robbie felt like someone in the Tribe org was knifing him in the back?
Shapiro said he didn't want Mets players. Maybe he was sending a message, or trying to stand firm. I'm thinking that maybe Dolan wanted Robbie out of here, and forced Shapiro's hand. What did Phillips do to suddenly make this a no-brainer? Add Traber to the pot? No way. And, if someone good like Strange were the 2nd ptbnl, it would have been leaked out like Traber was. This town just wasn't big enough for Robbie and someone else. We're screwed by someone's ego, or even prejudice.

Perhaps they have spy cams in the locker room recording everything that is said.

That ought to generate enough ill will between management and players.
