Hmm..i am not arguing he makes a difference, but he makes as much a difference as say...Ray Durham made a difference for the A's being a good OBP lead-off type guy. I think that saying that a guy's HOF credentials are based primarily on team performance is kind of deceiving because other then his ability to play with post season teams, he doesn't have the raw stats, and of all the sports, baseball is all about stats. But lets talk about great ballplayers that never win, or even get to the World Series.
You do get bonus points for Post-Season efforts.
Bonus points for the efforts...but I think Y'Town pointed out his efforts in the whole wree not that great. My vote would be no...supposedly the criteria should be someone who was dominating over a short period of time or consistently great over a longer period of time, at minimum all-star. Dominating as in MVP top 3 for like 4 years. Consistently great as in All Star for like 10-14 years. Like I said...Brosius was in a few post seasons, how much bonus should he get?
Well, what about what if. What if the Indians had won the 97 World Series, and Justice still ends up in New York and wins one more.
3 World Series wins for 3 different team, and he played a major role, not a supporting role, in each one.
