Grady could reach 90 extra base hits this year...
I think Albert Belle was the only player to ever hit 50 homers and 52 doubles in a season, plus one triple for a total of 103 extra base hits.
To think a guy like Grady Sizmore, who also has speed and who can cover a lot of ground in the outfield might have 90 extra base hits this season is pretty impressive.
And yet, Grady has room to improve when hitting with runners on base or against lefties, but let's not get greedy about Grady.
Grady's extra base hit splits through 82 games are 25 doubles, 6 triples, and 15 homers. When one factors in that Grady can steal bases and perhaps won't hit into as many GIDP's as Albert did, the two could end up with similar overall offensive contributions to their team.
Although Albert did all of his hitting in only 143 games.
Through 81 games Grady 44 extra base hits; 23 doubles, 6 triples, and 15 homers.

Grady now has 84 extra base hits in 142 games.
84 extra base hits out of 170 total hits, almost half of Grady's hits have been for extra bases.
Nice Job Grady.
