These are the dog days of Summer. On the road, interleague play, then many games against the Central.

Imagine if we could have had Ludwick healthy and at first base. Although I do give Broussard credit for managing to get on base and score runs.

Ludwick came up with several key hits last year, a surprising turn for a rookie.

Anyhow, this team is getting exciting. If they win today, I'll be very surprised at how well they are doing. I agree with a lot of your comments about the hitters. What I don't like is that lately, when a lot of the hits have taken place, runners have been going to third but not scoring (although yesterday, walks brought them in). A little more power and some relief pitching, and this team could contend.
