Where was Vic on that double play ball with one out and the bases loaded that Casey Blake hit into late in the game.

Vic had been leading off of first base when the ball was first hit, but it really looked like he loafed to second on that play even though just getting close to the second base bag would have probably resulted in Casey Blake being safe on the throw to first.

Casey was barely out at first yet Vic, who was leading off of first at the start of the play, WAS NOWHERE TO BE SEEN when the Red Sox were turning the pivot at second base.

Who does Vic think he is not hustling to second when even Shoppach at first would have made it much closer to second base on that exact same play.

I don't mind Vic loafing if it's pretty obvious that his hustle won't affect the outcome of a play, but to loaf at such a critical juncture in the game is really unacceptable and not the way a leader should set an example for the other players on the team. Whenever a player is barely beaten out by a throw at first yet the runner going to second is nowhere to be seen, someone wasn't hustling, and it's not the hitter.
