The season is not actually over, yet. The Indians are only 8.5 games back of the Yankees in the wildcard chase. By beating the team with the best record in the American League (and the national league as well), the Indians actually took four games off of the wildcard chase as the Devil Rays are now much much closer to falling back to the pack. Whereas it once looked like the Devil Rays were almost a shoe in for at least wildcard berth, that is no longer the case.

I actually believe the Indians should reverse course and try and pick up a legitimate starting pitcher for the remainder of the season.
