What bugs me about punishing Phoenix more than San Antonio is that Robert Horry really had nothing to lose at that point in which he committed his foul, it was pretty obivious that by doing what Horry did somebody from San Antonio was going to respond.

So Horry of San Antonio initiated the problem, but it ended up benefiting San Antonio more, and that is wrong.

Having said that, one of the first things they teach you in basketball is to box out the point guard as they go down the floor, you position yourself just close enough to the out of bounds line so the person with the ball does not have enough room to maneuver by you without going out of bounds.

So what was Nash thinking when proceeded to head around Horry when it looked pretty certain there was not enough room to manuever to the outside? Nash could not get by that way, so to even attempt it was kind of sneaky, so was the way he fell to the ground, it was a forward flop if ever I saw one.

So maybe both sides are to blame afterall???

    Thoughts?

I got to see the play from a variety of angles, and I'll have to ammend my position, Horry SHOULD have already been positioned closer to the out of bounds marker for my defense of him to have any validity.

Instead, what Horry did was Horryble because you don't get it both ways, either you prevent Nash from going up the sidelines, BUT, that means Nash can scramble back the other way, or you try and stop Nash up the middle and Nash scrambles up the sidelines, but if you stop Nash going up the middle, and then give him a shoulder
shove when he goes outside, you're a bum. Horry you bum.
